My Core Concepts

During your Aigle Health program, we will explore all the concepts below to create steps that work for you. My approach is realistic, achievable, results-oriented, and fun! Health is a vehicle to better life, not a destination or a religion.  I look forward to our discussions, becoming your “guide on the side” — with no hidden agenda or bias. My only goal is to help you thrive!

Bio-Individuality™
The concept of bio-individuality refers to the fact that each of us has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another’s poison: that’s why fad diets tend to fail. Working on the principle of bio-individuality, I’ll support you to make positive changes based on your unique needs, lifestyle and preferences.
Integrative Nutrition® Plate
The Integrative Nutrition Plate emphasizes proportions and the importance of local/organic produce, whole grains, high-quality proteins, plant-based fats, and water. Lifestyle factors that nourish us (relationship, career, physical activity, spirituality) surround the plate.

Primary Food™
Healthy relationships, a fulfilling career, regular exercise, and spiritual awareness are essential forms of nourishment. When these “primary foods” are balanced, what you eat becomes secondary. I will help you achieve your goals, from eating the right foods for your body to living an inspired, fulfilling life.
Crowding Out
Most nutrition experts give lists of forbidden and allowed foods. My approach is different: by eating foods that are great for both your body and your tastebuds, you'll have less room and desire for unhealthy foods; you'll “crowd them out”. Lose weight not your mind.

Deconstructing Cravings
Cravings play a critical role in understanding what your body needs and should not be ignored. When you learn how to deconstruct your cravings and understand what they are really telling you, you will be able to reclaim a sense of balance and harmony. You will get a new sense of freedom.
Seasonality
Nature in its wisdom provides the type of nutrition we need each season. For instance, leafy greens grow in the Summer when we need more water. We will learn to leverage seasonality to your advantage, also allowing you to eat more fresh, delicious locally-grown produce.

Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
As you become more aware of the chemicals and toxic substances your body is daily exposed to and of the incredible power of healthful foods and habits, your respect and awe for the environment will grow accordingly.  You will become increasingly aware of your oneness with nature and with others.
